This bear in the woods conversation is so many things. The perspective that it gives as a for-instance is crazy good. So I came up with this to add to the chaos.
For the record - my answer is bear all day.
Its funny and fascinating to me that so many people are shocked that so many other people place men on par with bears in regard to danger level. I'm especially interested in when men get asked this question about their daughters and find themselves surprised by their own choice of bear. Many don't understand why people are choosing the bear. And the comments/responses are incredibly powerful albeit heartbreaking.
Here's where this design was born: someone said anything about the bear - the bear would eat you, the bear would kill you, the bear would blah blah blah... to which i would reply to any one of those comments with "not all bears"... because it perfectly illustrates the 'not all men' ridiculousness. I dunno this bear, I dunno where it came from, how did it treat its mother? No one knows. Anyone saying "not all men" is usually saying "not me" in defense. Making it about themselves and lacking empathy toward the real situation. We know its not all men, obviously. But no one knows who it is and most of the time its someone you know so... I'm gunna keep knuckling my keys, thanks.
